Are m65's still /fa/shionable?

I'm thinking about getting one. I recently went to a military surplus outlet, but the one they had was really bulky/ugly/rough/looked more like a Halloween costume. It was also like $100. Is the Alpha Industries jacket any good? The reviews on the site seemed good, but the one star reviews worried me.

As far as looks go, I'm trying to find one similar to Deniro's in Taxi Driver or Stallone's in Rambo.
