That does look very scratchy.
Eulit straps centre the pin and there's no problem finding a hole since they're literally everywhere on the strap, and I personally find off centre to be annoying, I like you initially bought a cheap perlon and found out it wasn't great.
My blue strap cost €15 delivered, though €5 of that was for postage from Germany to the UK, still pretty cheap though.

It's literally a case of Eulit perlon or nothing.
On the left is a Eulit Palma which is a thick chunky weave, very nice on bigger watches like divers.
In the middle is a Eulit Kristall, very fine, tight weave, looks good on small vintage sports watches.
On the right is a Rios Panama, it's shit, lost its shape within a year or so, should have got the Eulit version.
Also note the buckles, the pin centres on the Eulits but it doesn't on the Rios because it's a cheap buckle.
