As much as I love the pure version of this style, whenever I hear the words “prep” or “preppy” i get a visceral disgust in my stomach because the 1st thing I think about is despicable frat boy types like pic related. Do they have anything to do with the prep style as a whole? Or are they a totally different thing in itself? Also it doesn’t help that every person I met so far who dressed “prep” was a scummy, detestable dirtbag with no redeeming qualities whatsoever besides (dad’s) money. Is living the “prep” lifestyle synonymous with being a terrible person?
