I am somewhat upset that the word "techwear" is associated with retards cosplaying as some sort of dark urban ninjas. The name implies that the clothes are supposed to be made of some sort of technical fabric that offers advantage over regular clothes. Be it breathability, protection from wind or rain or light weight.
Instead we get a bunch of larpers in aliexpress nylon, or worse - people who genuinely think that spending hundreds on Acronym sleeveless cotton t-shirt or an apron is a good idea. Outdoor sports equipment, especially hiking and mountaineering gear is more tech than what these people are pushing.
If they want to wear this stuff, all the power to them, but stop calling it tech.
