Congrats Fren! It's a hell of a watch, and hasn't yet let me down. The anti-reflection on the crystal is particularly amazing....

Awesome; your Hour Vision also has the best bracelet from the post-co-axial generation so far, both in design and in comfort. I'm glad it's running well!

>working on getting that Citizen

Which one? Mine? Stiletto? Tha Citizen? If it's the 0100 originals, there are still a few out there (though the Mother-of-pearl dials are essentially all gone and the gold versions are far too expensive for a quartz watch, even in my book). It's a great watch, but I have no idea what will happen when I have to get it serviced. It's a bit of a gamble and a wild card, so we'll see.

Celebrating life and family: the most important things. I have a little time off, so I'm able to 'let the hair down' a bit, so a drink is in order.

I'm glad to hear that the Citizens are running well. My 0100 continues to be solid and reliable, and though I've been tempted by a few different vintage watches, I haven't really pulled the trigger because I'm waiting for the watch market to stabilize more.

I wish I could join you in Kofe, but it'll keep me awake. I hope you have a wonderful day, CitizenChad, and that you are able to achieve what you wish.

Fair enough; desu though, I don't plan on ever opening it. If/when the watch requires help, I'll send it back to Citizen. I can't even guess what tech they use for the 0100 and how it might differ from a lower-end model; I'd think that some things must be different due to the power requirements for the crystal. Good luck though, and I will try to remember if it ever comes up in the future.

Surprisingly, I've never actually reported anyone. I have however been banned in the past..lol I still don't know why. The situation was an interesting one though...lol

>>17923205
Sadly GS is known for having bracelets that are somewhat less refined in terms of fit, but then again, at least the money is going towards what really counts (i.e. performance, finishing, etc.). I was genuinely surprised by the 0100 bracelet; I thought it was going to be as 'utilitarian' as any other Citizen bracelet I've encountered, but to my surprise it is outstanding. Strange things....

>>17923212
Nah, TudorSeikoChad is cool; all I wish is that he finds happiness, if he hasn't found it already. I'm still convinced that BitterAnon, 'who could even be you', has a heart of gold; it's just a question of what will bring it out. What are you wearing, Fren?

>>17923217
Yes, but later. Too much to do at the moment and I have to be SHARP SHARP!!

>>17923218
It's very interesting to see what extrapolations are made of me on this 'intranet'; I'm sure you find it just as interesting about yourself, too. Are you keeping well? Please make sure you get enough sleep and eat healthy; sometimes we forget these things when life throws too much at us. It's lovely to see GS finishing close up in your pics!

>>17923221
One day Anon! Don't give up, but save up and make sure you try one on before pulling the trigger. All watches look different on the wrist.

I'm very well, thank you. Drinking heavy tonight, lots to celebrate. I'm glad that you are doing well, though those words are not quite sufficient for the experience.

I'm glad your Stiletto is functioning well; I've been wearing the 0100 on my off hours a lot lately. It seems to happen that way actually...I don't have a rotation of watches, I just have a rotation of emotional weeks when I crave particular designs or aesthetic directions. Right now, the 0100 satisfies all cravings for an efficient, clean design that simply tells the time. You know what I mean?

You know, the more I see your watch, the more I think I should pick one up. Just another perfect design from Citizen..something that belongs in Blade Runner or Minority Report.

Do you have any new watches on the horizon, Fren?

Awesome! I hope that things work out with the milestone smoothly.

>>17881695
Fun; it carries the design of the old railroad pocket watches that Hamilton produced. How's it running?

>>17881715
>>17881737 is spot on.

>>17881757
Depends on how high. Mille could be considered that, as could some Hublot. I'd say that at least Lange, Breguet, Smith, and a few others still try.

>>17881758
Excellent, CitizenChad, but busier than ever. Have you been keeping in good health? I still love the stiletto hands on that Citizen of yours...perfect handset.

>>17881917
Wonderful! It's always good to know that these things can function 'as they should'. Ones like yours are excellent daily-wears, without a doubt.

>>17881919
I have no idea; I wouldn't say 'no' to taking one camping; I'm sure it would be fine for a weekend.

>>17881985
eh...grey market can get you some wonderful gems at 5k, though all pre-owned. But the cost comes with risk and research. How's the Tudor running?

>>17882011
It depends on what you're buying it for. Do you have any other chronos, or is this your first one?

>>17882016
Because Rolex is THE aspirational brand to the mass public. It's been that way since the 80s, and will still be that way for a while due to their lead in the marketing arena. People still buy them as 'wedding watches', as 'milestone watches', etc. And of course, they're absurdly popular on the Asian continent, so that's where most of them end up.

>>17882023
I wouldn't get a cheap one. Go Suunto and stay safe.

>>17882051
You don't know. They're fine unless you drop them on concrete or ceramic floors. Aside from that, they always look new.

>>17882166
Maybe I'll take some new ones one day. No need at the moment; it's not like you guys don't know the watches I have. Sometimes I put them on different straps or bracelets though...

>>17882226
Hold her close; one day she will be gone.

Rise, young pado-quartz. Soon, you too shall learn the secrets of knowing the correct time whenever you want.

>best anti-reflection in the business
>second hand that lines up with ALL markers
>self-correcting hands so that they always line up too in case of shock.

The movement interested me first as well, and then I recognized just how remarkable the aesthetics were. It was good luck; I would have bought the watch for the movement regardless...but now I'm 'stuck' with a watch that has a perfect movement AND a perfect aesthetic. Life is good.

The models that they're putting the 0100 into have different coloured dials, and they may be Japan-only in terms of distribution, but have a look on their website. They're not 7k as the original was...only around 4.5k.

>>17844189
Yes. I need two chronographs at work, and they're far easier to actuate and reset than using two phones or anything else conspicuous.
