Nobody uses sailboats for commercial fishing outside of the deep third world, and plenty of rich people like to play cowboy, never mind the whole range of equestrian sports enjoyed by the upper classes pretty much exclusively. Ever heard of a dude ranch or barrel-riding contest? Of course they're not actual cowboys, but that's not the point. That set of people forms a distinct (weird as fuck) subculture.
