I'm a student studying Chemistry at uni, absolutely hate it so I'm going to apply to switch to Fashion design with a focus on sportswear for next year. Now usually to apply you need a portfolio however because I'm switching course and have never really done anything that you could put in a portfolio I was told I can just provide designs I like, things that inspire me etc. However, I'm not really sure how to write it or put in these things.

Any help?
