Interdastin stuff: natural dyes and mordants

I used vinegar water that'd had nails sitting in them for a few days as mordant, and coffee as dye. So basically, the mordant on its own barely discolors the fabric, while coffee on its own stains it tan. When put together (the fabric was dipped in one solution after the other) they make a sort of brownish gray. The one on the left I put in mordant and let dry, then I repeatedly dipped it in coffee. On the other I coffee stained, then mordanted. I'm not sure how the colors will hold up in the wash, i've still got some experimenting to do.
