People like to glob onto any type of exclusivity they can muster.

I saw a TikTok where a guy was showing off purchasing this must tank. Which is a nice looking watch on its own. But he was bragging that it was limited edition - and it's like...if you can saunter over to an AD and pick it up at retail, or even from their online store - it's not limited edition.

People care more about limited edition shit nowadays over whether the item in question even looks good or not. Doesn't matter if it's watches, shoes, etc.
