It is a meme but it’s also one of the few complications that is actually aesthetically appealing and is a pretty good conversation piece. It’s also a little annoying to set if you don’t have a winder. The watch in your pic uses a little pusher tool to quick set the date and moon phase independently.

I am literally a customer. I would buy a Polaris if it wasn’t 42mm. I won’t buy a Master Control because it’s 40mm. Even my watch would be better if it was 37mm but I realize that you will always be making serious concessions with any watch under $10k, unfortunately.

It’s nothing too horrific. There’s one small indention on both sides of the watch, one push of the stylus forwards either the date or moon phase by 1 day. The actual annoying part is trying to judge the exact position of the moon phase because if you mess up you’ll be pressing it 30 more times.

The accuracy of the moonphase is totally irrelevant to me anyway so it’s more of just a mildly interesting thing I didn’t think about before owning one.
