I had a 1963, it was pretty nice overall and I liked it but not enough to wear it often so I sold it. I think it's definitely not a good everyday type watch, it doesn't really match all types of clothing and it's sort of a pain in the ass since it's so delicate overall. It's not waterproof, the acrylic scratches easily so it requires regular polishing if you want to keep it looking good (there is a version with a sapphire crystal but it looks like shit, by the way), and mechanical chrono movements in general and especially the Seagull ST19 movement is notorious for being delicate, prone to failure, and high maintenance.

It's a very good looking watch that offers a pretty cool movement for very cheap and it's eyecatching with an actually interesting history behind it, but you probably won't want to wear it every single day of the week unless you're a pilot in the Chinese Air Force circa 1963.

I think if you want an everyday watch that isn't a diver then you would probably be best suited by something which is sporty enough for casual wear but can easily be dressed up and which is reasonably durable with at least enough water resistance for daily life. Personally the watch which fits that description for me is a Seiko SARB035 and I like it a lot, but there are a million other watches in your price range which could also fit those requirements just as well.

>I actually don't like the seagull as much as I thought I would and I wear it pretty rarely. It's a pretty watch and the mechanical chrono movement is cool but I might end up selling it I guess.

It's nice to look at by itself, but I guess it just doesn't look good when I actually wear it.

That looks pretty nice, I've been trying to think what sort of strap I want to put on this watch but I haven't decided on one yet. I'm thinking leather though, maybe a leather nato or something.

I literally took the OP photos, the SNK807 photo, and this photo all by using random crap I had lying around as a backdrop and using an open window as my only light source. Apply yourself.
