My beater, which for me means the watch I take on my photography trips to Africa and India, is my Speedmaster. It's extremely reliable, and because of its elevetad bezel, it eats hits like if they were nothing, and the moonphase lets me plan nocturnal photography better.

Wholefully honest, there are scenarios in which a moonphase complication can result quite useful. When I travel to take photographs, knowing if there is going to be moonlight can make or undo the photo. That's why I opted for having one in my Speedy.
