Reminder that wearing your political affiliation on your sleeve is not /fa/. True fashion is rooted in aesthetics, vision, and art; not in petty political alliances.

Report and ignore all political/race off-topic shitposting.

Make /fa/ great again.

Thank you.

Dude, get excited.

Marching Church was the best concert I saw at Roskilde Festival. It was fucking mezmerising. They played mostly new projects.
You expected Elias to steal the show, as he is incredibly charismatic, but no. Everyone played insanely well. One of the guys was a multi instrumentalist and sang fucking amazing backup vocals.

Their early Marching Church sound had changed. It felt more like compositions in the style of what Lion's Den is. Lots of use of horns doing blending or call/response.
One of the tracks sounded like an army returning home from defeat in battle.

God damn I love Marching Church.

It's happening, /fa/. Designers have been experimenting, and now it is filtering to the streets (mostly among women at the moment) and fashion magazines.

While I do not think skinny jeans will leave the spotlight, I think another silhouette will enter the mainstream as well: Loose, tapered (often cropped or rolled) pants. The taper/hem is key - this will distinguish this trend from the shoe-drowning JNCOs of the 90s and bell-bottom revival of the early 2000s.

As I said, slim styles will never go out of style. I just think this is the direction we will be heading. Screencap this. Also, post loose, tapered inspo (male or female).

I don't think full 90s/early-2000s baggy will be back, but I do think skinny jeans will phase out and be replaced with looser, yet tapered pants.

Kind of like

I like this fit. I hope that if skinny jeans ever truly go out of vogue, that they'll be replaced with pants like this.

Loose, but with a taper. Kind of like pic related.

It's where I see things going (instead of boot cut / relaxed fit / flare jeans).

I think looser pants might come into play, though I don't think they'll be like the flares of the 70s (and early 2000s revival), nor will they be the monstrosity that is JNCOs.

I think something like pic related might be a direction that trends lead to - looser pants that cuff to a narrow silhouette at the ankles. I already see it in some Asian (and others) fashion (labeled by /fa/ as "comfycore") - and some designers are experimenting with it as well.

Skinny pants/jeans have had a surprisingly long presence. They are still prevalent, though some designers are experimenting with looser fits. Pic related might be an interesting direction for pants silhouette - loose, but without the "shoes swimming in the pants" feel of 90s JNCOs.

No, I don't think OP's picture is accurate, though. Look how inoffensive the fits on the left are. People might look at them like they look back at the slim, inoffensive slim fits of the 70s/80s now. I think this is what determines what will be "cringe" in the future - if something is as subdued and inoffensive as the pics on the left, then it will likely not be laughed at in the future. Sure, fashion changes, and these styles will become outmoded, but people will likely not laugh at them.

As for Rick Owens - he is an outsider. The avant-garde will always be the avant-garde, and you shouldn't base your perception on generational fashion trends on what he and other avant-garde designers are doing (though he certainly may influence these trends).

of course it is, that's where some of the most innovative fits come from, good luck finding combinations that work though
