I find the discussion of what is neofolk pretty dumb, since as the other anon said it's not set in stone. Most people that post the "aestethic" anywhere know it's open ended with themes of gothic, war time europe, melancholy and a bit of the occult.
I used to post a lot in these threads, but it's been like talking to a wall for years at this point
