why cant i describe the haircut i want properly? it keeps ending in disappointment. one i recently got worked but it was very casual. it was the closest ive come to getting one exactly how i want.

do i have to tell them to "do a 3 and fade into a 1 on the side, but keep the top a-" or something? isn't that their job? what the hell?

pic related, best haircut i ever got and it was from a friend. 98% of every other haircut ive gotten has been a shitty bird nest fiasco or quickly devolved into one after i shaved whatever facial hair i had.

i want a simple haircut- short on the sides, long on top. but this means something different to everyone. how do i possibly explain this?

i dont want pic-related anymore, that was a fun experiment but i want normal fucking hair. my hair is very thick and it's just begging to be cut into something nice but fuck me if it hasn't been squandered thus far.

would i be able to do Jake Gyllenhaal-esque hair? obviously im nowhere near the looker he is, but i'm talking about my hair.

i want medium type haircuts with classic styles or a mix of classic and modern. i dont want anything hipster, i dont want anything crazy. pls help.

2. i currently have a female barbress that specializes in men's hair. should i just start seeing a barber instead?
3. can i do this hair style but "scaled back"? can i do a jake gyllenhaal-y hair style? theyre cool, but i dont want an undermeme

also this is not my current hair style. my current hair looks awful. its short and slightly poofy just enough on the sides, i cant tell if it needs thinning out or what but its short. maybe i just need to wait for it to grow? its absolutely awful and this sucks because i need to impress some college girls. it didnt look bad before i shaved but now i look like a total faggot.
