They're plain chukkas and are the entry level boot. I own malis in black and brown and like them. They're as basic as chucks, I don't see how you can even hold a strong opinion on them.

I love the hi top boot look. But I live in a warm climate. Would malis therefore be a better option? I like how they look with the low profile as well. Obviously they don't have the same depth of color as irs but I could get a black, grey, and beeswax pair for the price of irs and they're still clarks so they're pretty good, right?

I felt the 1000ks were too plain and dressy. I want a workwear/outcore look so I'm leaning towards cork sole IRs. But how warm are they? I live in a hot climate so I think malis might be more suitable if irs are too hot.
