This watch has a real problem with legibility imo. Had a fiddle with one at a patek boutique and at certain angles the hands and indices just disappear into the dial. They're so polished that you can't see shit. And this was in well lit boutique lighting. I don't like that. It's one thing that I think Grand Seiko do so well especially in regards to their their black dials is the angles cut onto hands and indices: doesn't matter what angle you see the dial at, or even if it's only half-light, light will reflect off them and you can instantly tell the time.
Sure it's not the end of the world as an extra second readjustment an you're fine and I wouldn't refuse a gifted one, but in this case I think the lighter dials have it.
