You always bought them from meranom, I have no idea what milsurp guy you're talking about, been like that for years. Same with all the different models. There's no real guide to it, christopol makes what they want, sometimes they release something and then it comes out again, sometimes it disappears forever from the catalog. I'm just disappointed they never answered my multiple emails about making a custom watch like WUS did with the Slava or RE forum did for the Baikal. I want a /wt/ amphibia.

Some of them, mainly kommandirskies. Most of the newer nicer models have steel bezels, some even with aluminum inserts. They're also more accurate than seikos out of the box. Stays at +15/s a day, some people regulate them down to 4 seconds. Pretty impressive for a movement than only needs to be serviced every 10 years.

Well it used to be that the nicer vostoks were from the SE line, nicer dials, brushed cases, bezels with inserts. Now though you get the nicer ones even in the classic line, costing even more than the SE line vostoks. Pretty much anything over $130 on meranom is a nicer vostok.
