>Especially ham radio. I think it's neat.
The radio is the Yaesu VX-8DR (no longer in production). It can, more or less, do everything a normal cellphone can do, albeit more tediously. (For example, it can send/receive texts via WINLink.) It's fun because you can talk to people around the world—if you can hit a repeater. Also its antenna is significantly more powerful than a cellphone, which may be of interest if you're driving through the mountains and have no cell service.

Nevertheless, I mainly bought it because its GPS transceiver is the best of any handheld. It always picks up 6-7 satellites, even in garbage weather. It's better than those dedicated hiking gps's (although it won't give you a cool color map like they do). Coupled with Bluetooth functionality and a battery that takes less than 5 seconds to swap with a new one, it's pretty useful. Also, it's waterproof.

It's a shame they no longer make it.

>Besides that I've only been curious about the NERV card in your wallet.
It's nothing important. It has personal information written on it then NERV stamped on top of it.

It does a lot of things (like act as GPS), but the main thing I use it for is intercepting police and dispatch bands (the radio can listen to two frequencies simultaneously).

If a call is ever placed, I can intercept dispatch telling an officer to come, as well as police talking to each other. I've installed a bluetooth chip in it, so I just sit with a bluetooth headset on during jobs.

No. I don't still from specific people. Theft is wrong.
