Some ideas, depends on your personal style/body shape/temperate where you live atm (don't wanna be a sweaty fuck):

- If you're new to fashion and don't have many clothes then I'd invest in a good black pencil dress until you get your shit sorted. Again, I don't know what your body shape is like but if it's likely to be a "problem", shy away from very tight/thin material. You don't have to have a high neck but shy away from showing clevage. Sleveless is ok but not thin straps. Bit of thigh is ok but probably not higher than mid thigh. some ideas of styles (I just checked asos cause it was quick & easy, dunno your price range but just for illustration):

- depending on how thin your calves are/how nice your legs are, 3/4 slim fitting black dress pants + white blouse can't go too wrong. cotton or polyester stuff is fine.

- if your calves aren't that nice (you can still be thin but have weird calves depending) can't go wrong with pencil skirt + white blouse.
