I've had a few people say that. I'm not convinced I want to 'feature' it yet. To me it just looks unclean because it is, but moreover it makes the glue cleanup process a pain as it spreads the soot around when hitting it with the foam cleaning swabs I use. I think there are ways to get cleaner cuts with higher power CO2 lasers but I can't afford that and don't have access to one.

Roughly this trajectory: Clean and fix up old grandfather clock I received from family friend -> research how to make clocks -> work on a pendulum clock design -> damn I don't have money for a full machine shop, only get to 3d printed prototype -> research watch escapements since they're related to clock escapements -> end up with a couple watches -> start servicing cheap ebay watches for fun -> work on papercraft for secret s/a/nta 2022 -> idea.png -> find parts that are roughly equivalent to an entry level seiko online, put together some jank dial prototypes until things fit -> refine the concept on subsequent designs
As for characters from other IP: I would have to get rights for that, so those I can't sell. ZUN's explicitly permissive derivative works policy is very rare and probably one of the main reasons the series got as popular as it did.
