When I say it's "too loud" I mean that, the very bright dial takes away from how masterfully black polished the markers are. The jump out more on the slga009 (pic is 009)

Yeah in your pic, the lume filled in the spots that they usually black polish.

Well I'm a fucking weeb so my opinion is very subjective. What I can tell you is that, GS makes everything (everything) in house. Have unique movements. An amazing polishing and pretty much, from my anecdotal experience, unmatched finishing at that price point. The dials are also top notch. The bracelets though are bad, for the price. "Bad" as in, it feels like it should be on a watch half the price. The thing that makes GS a better choice for me though is that, Seiko is very transparent about every step of the way of production and making of the watches, from the case and dial to the movement. Omega on the other hand is very secretive. They don't show where or how their watches are made, they don't tell you where they get their dials, their cases, if it's china swatch-metal etc.
To me, that's a too much of a red flag (the complete lack of transparency) What are they hiding? Well we don't know.
The hour markers are hand polished btw.

To be honest, I think that's the case, really.
The Kuon for example, no matter how much they tried to talk it up to me and how it means the endless flow of time and the same guy who oversees and designed the eichi II is responsible for the kuon line and how it's porcelain dial--- it simply wasn't up to standard. Consider on it's slightly more expensive than my GS, I just couldn't see it. The eichi though, it clicked instantly, it's got that "aura" if you know what I mean.
I showed him this pic when I was comparing them and he simply replied with "Well you can't compare them, they are a different beast"
And he also told me that the Kuon was made so that other people can enjoy a taste of the Eichi II. Well you can fill in the rest of what that means.
The case of the kuon, he told me that they got new machines just for it and thay the cuts can not be replicated. It's the only watch line with that type of case.

Macro is "fine", I am struggling with the Super Macro shots. And from what I heard, those add-lenses are not doing much. I will probably buy one anyway to test it out myself.

I thought so too, but this dial is "silver" enough. Like I said the pics don't do it justice. I was expecting much less texture if that makes sense.
I mean, look at it.
The movement decoration is my only complain but that is just cherry picking. I will post it after this one.
