Should I replace the shoe laces with white ones before I paint them or leave the blacks in? Should I take the laces out when painting or leave them in?

I really want to splatter paint a pair of shoes. I think I'll do it with a pair of white vans that I have lying around.

I thought it might be cool to do the Germany colors. Probably dark red, orange-ish yellow and black. Would that look cool? I don't want it to look like I just spilled ketchup and mustard on my shoes.

Or should I just use a bunch of different colors?
