This definitely goes on. The best example I can point to is to go back and look at what The Sartorialist posted when he was first starting out and what he's posting now. Not even the obvious stuff - the stuff you get from access that a rise from some guy with a showroom to counterpower to Anna Wintour accords. But just the random street snaps, pic related.

I'm not sure what to think about it. On one hand, perfection isn't even something to aim for. On the other, what's really happened is that everyone has upped their game.*

This explosion of fashion on the Internet is really something that hasn't been looked at enough. Culturally, fashion went from, back in 2005, or 2006, when The Devil Wears Prada came out, this strange, alien, snooty, basically irrelevant to the extent it wasn't corrupt thing for most people to arguably the most important art form in making the culture and people's lives behind music, more than cinema or television even.
