It used to be fairly good a few years ago before people starting turning every thread into a debate about

1) what "real neofolk" is
2) the ethics of neofolk

The thread needs less of these neverending pointless arguments and more open-ended discussion. Oh, and /fa/ also needs to magically stop being dead. Simple really.

It's hard to say, man. Which aspects of the neofolk thing do you like? Military surplus has always been a big component, so start there. Otherwise, maybe search for some modern clothing cuts that are relatively understated.

Picrel shows up a lot in these threads. Old news I know but it's a lot of clothing that gives off a similar vibe to a lot of neofolk stuff.

Maybe mix STALKER like >>12977150 said with Mori boy (which is very comfy but not very functional)? The easiest way to do this would be to think of what clothes you wear going innawoods and then think about how they could be made comfier. I can post a few of my favorites from my Scouting days if anyone wants.
Another option is to modify explorer-core from the previous create a core thread.
