Yes they can have their opinions, but if all they wear are nike and h&m all of their opinions about clothing and aesthetics are colored by what they put on their body. They choose to go shopping at h&m because it appeals to them, they like the aesthetic or theyd go to a different mass market store or buy thrifted clothes.

They are trying to establish a viewpoint on something thats way out of their depth. Theyre welcome to their opinion, but it really doesnt count for anything. Its the same reason why an art historians' opinion on a 1650s drawing counts a lot more than mine, they have a better education.
