Vibergs have pretty good built quality, but they completely ruin their boots with dainite soles. I owned a pair of 310s and even after half a year of breaking them in, they just felt like I was walking on a rock bed. There's no reason why they shouldn't just be using vibram or Dr soles. Also, their heel counter is not very comfortable, its just too stiff and does not really cup your heel as well as other service boots such as John Lofgren Combat Boots, or especially with a pair of Quan Shoemakers.

Last year when I first started researching higher end boots on the minimum $600+ price range, I originally put in an order for some Americanas. I came to this general and asked everyone's input and they all pretty much said that I needed to cancel the order and get some Whites instead. Sure, I caved into the pressure, but in the end it was the right move. Whites is the only PNW brand that still hand welts their boots and in my opinion their 350 cruisers and cutters are the most universal and timeless looking PNW boot out there. Although I was originally drawn to the appearance of the Americana because of its more refined essence of the Iron Ranger, its something I quickly grew out of once I familiarized myself with all of the other infinitely better 6 inch work boot makers out there. The Americana is really JUST the essence of the Iron Ranger and nothing more, and because of that its really just Babby's first adult boot, which isn't really a good thing
