/p/ here. For social media shots, just about any compact camera with a 1" sensor will serve you well - Sony Rx100 series, Canon g7x are the prime examples. There are also micro four thirds cameras from Olympus and Panasonic - Lumix GM5, Olympus EPL series, etc. These have interchangeable lenses too so if you actually start to get into photography, that might be of interest to you. Personally, I've been using a Sony a6000 for awhile now and the image quality and features you get for the price are pretty unbelievable.

Whatever you get, I recommend a camera with built-in wifi so if you see something you like while you're out and about, you can just take the shot, transfer it your phone, edit it and throw it up on insta pretty much straight away.
