Grand Seiko is best alternative and checks all the boxes. Omega could have been a great competitor and they still are obviously, but as a substitute or ''submariner killer'' they're a joke.

A 100m SEIKO will do fine as a PRO diver watch
A 100 Cartier will most likely not
