As far as the fit, I mean they're made for layers underneath and ultimate freedom of movement. You could always do the thing where you tighten the drawstrings and turn it into a tutu, but I don;t think you'll ever get one to slim fit.

The one of the left is very old (It only has a stamped label inside, and the KASS stamping all over was scaled back as time went on). I would assume it;s never been laundered. I personally doubt a brightener would have enough of an effect to improve a worn one. Impossible to give any recommendation on finding specific colours, it;s chance more than anything.
