William Gibson has a whole book about this crossover between high end snowboarding gear, tactical military stuff and the fashion world... He mentions Japanese designers crossing over between fields. It's in Zero History, iirc. Perhaps Hiroki was an inspiration for my favorite author?

I really had no idea that the brand went so deep. As I said before, I'd love a place to get a better look at it. Barney's usually has some in store but an archive or retrospective would be awesome.
