bag 1: boston or weekender for 1-2 day trips. carry-on size. the only thing i want for sure.

bag 2: secondary duffle, larger than bag 1. possibly carry-on size, okay if larger. big enough for a 5-day trip.

would like one of them to be a 3-way bag (aka backpack straps).

between bag 1 and 2, should be covered for at least a week of travel. possibly double that (there's a 100L 3-way bag that might be overkill.)

not really interested in hard shell luggage. prefer things like duffels and backpacks that have multiple uses and can work in casual travel while not looking silly on a business trip.

prefer drab olive pieces, a slightly mil. surplus aesthetic. i think it dresses up or down pretty well and has a nice masculine vibe without whipping a dick out. contemplated buying actual military surplus but don't want something stained and ratty. would rather invest in something with great construction.

also like the way drab olive mixes with leather, if i add a leather duffle at some point. not messing with leather now because it would double my budget. also like how it works with blaze orange.

black is a fallback, but it honestly bores me.

i like some of topo designs bags and the more subtle colorways, but it's a bit to casual/campercore than what i'm looking for.
