I like winding watches because I like the artistry and engineering behind a functional little machine that never needs battery power to work. I don't mind setting the time every few days or week, and if I need a chronograph for something I have other timers and watches for that. There's just something so appealing to me about a finely made machine which functions simply on mechanical movement and nothing more.

My best friend bought me this for Christmas, what do you think? Is it a good watch? I'll wear it forever, regardless. Do you know how much it is? I looked on Oriental's website and they don't have a price listed because it's sold out. I hope it wasn't too much, their other watches seem spendy for our working class wallets.
