I got decants of the feminine scents that LT awarded 5/5 and been testing them on my girlfriend as a lab-rabbit since the morning. Hermes Twilly is probably the best tuberose scent I tried but not really my cup of coffee but now that we applied Guerlain Pamplelune we're both in love. It has this big grapefruit opening that is hard to forget. As far as I understand it's impossible to extract smell from grapefruits naturally as its esters are very unstable so the grapefruit accord must be recreated from its pieces one by one by other means. Having this in mind Pamplelune is even more impressive as a showcase of Laurent's technical and artistic skills. You get here grapefruit with all of its candy, bitter, citric and sour nuances. It leans a bit towards a feminine scent but it is nevertheless the most convincing grapefruit accord I've tried. This opening gives way to some more aromatic green notes that I'm curious about and their development over time.
