well your question is pretty vague
if you don't know where to start, then buy simple, versatile things from asos, uniqlo etc
and figure out how clothes are supposed to fit. it makes a big difference.

i haven't actually had a look myself

it's not very hard
a few shirts
a few more t shirts
one pair jeans
one or two chino/pants
a couple sweaters
a coat or jacket
one pair sneakers
some sort of "smart casual" shoes

all neutral colours so everything will go with everything else = more outfit possibilities

learn how things should fit
avoid graphics/writing on your clothes/big branding etc etc
get in shape
avoid pre-faded jeans

if i were you i would buy:
some good dark indigo slim jeans
a pair of good shoes, maybe two
a handful of basic t shirts, a few simple shirts
two or three sweaters/hoodies
a jacket/coat depending on weather

it isn't too hard but can take time to develop your taste if you're completely new
1 pair jeans, 1 pair good sneakers, a handful of t shirts, a few sweaters and/or knits and a jacket or coat
that's the start of a basic casual wardrobe
don't try to do too much at once
