Not the guy you’re replying to but I understand the appeal. Fitness tracking, health, etc, etc... To me it would be convenient as a I’m going out for a run/walk watch or for the elderly people in your family because of it’s fall detection and ekg sensor. An Apple watch is basically just a technically advanced digital watch. I’d wear one before I’d wear a quartz or rubber digital watch. Even the guy in the OP pic has one despite having a nice watch collection filled with HH pieces. The thing with mechanical watches though is yes, you can simplify it to it being just an accessory at this point but still, you have a marvel of mechanical engineering sitting on your wrist. It’s a novelty and it’s also a status symbol.
