Hey /wt/, my father has an automatic Omega (pic related is the watch on my wrist) that stopped working, he's been quoted 800$ for the fix, which I think is ridiculous, as it is probably just a small component that broke.
How realistic is it that I can fix my father's watch on my own? I've never worked on a watch before, but I'm really good with my hands, fixed multiple small electronics gadgets from soldering to replacing phone screens/batteries, and the watch does not have any major complications. I know I'll need some speciality tools, but I'm willing to spend some money on it as the watch has sentimental to my dad.
