My amplitude and overall readings were all over the place. Turns out it was actually magnetized (and in need of some adjusting). Toothpick and one of them blue chinese demagnetizers with a red button fixed it. Keeps pretty good time now. Don't think I lost a minute since. Used to lose about half a minute a day or so. I was so pissed off too, cuz I love that fucking dial to death.
