Of course. Most of my collection is made up of cheapies and designers, and as I mentioned Layton Exclusif will be my first niche bottle. And you're right, niche doesn't necessarily equate to better quality; but in the cases that it does, I would much prefer an interesting, out of the ordinary, heavenly scent with great performance for $150 than a synthetic headache for $80. Honestly in a lot of cases you can find niche fragrances for little more than the going price for your average Chanel or Dior. With some of the performance beasts, you can even make due with decants for a fraction of the full bottle price.

They merit discussion at the very least.
