It's weird considering how when talking/reading about World War 2 it's almost never about the normal citizens in Germany in cities like Berlin for example. I bet they had it real good as long as they supported daddy Adolf.

I went to Istanbul for about 2 weeks and the food was so fucking shit 95% of the places. I don't even know how I survived living off the "wrap"-sandwich-kebab things street vendors made. It was the only type of meal which was sort of good and cheap. Anything expensive (or "average" price) was fucking garbage.
Also, the city itself was a fucking dump. Everything had literally been changed as to cater to fucking imbecile tourists. Neon lights everywhere like it's the 90's and almost everyone on the street was wearing the same type of clothes (cheap-ass weird black shit, plenty of fake leather jackets) and almost everyone had the same angry as fuck look on their face. The assholes who were selling things from their shitty "stores" could easily, eeeeaasily, just fucking cross the entire street just to try and urge you to come inside to buy EXACTLY their type of garbage-- the same type of garbage you'd be able to buy at a different price if you walked down the street for 5 minutes.
Rant over, sorry, it's really a shitty place. 1/10 on every fucking scale ever.
