It's not the sort of thing that can come back to mainstream because it requires dressing in too much of an eccentric way for the average westerner to be bothered with. While the Chloma style minimalism and things like >>15603885 >>15603889 are quite a bit different, they still come from or draw their origins to the same era and have a bit of a gate around them. Maybe the most you'll get is some vaguely rave-inspired styles on teenage thrift shoppers and stickers on cellphone cases. Either way, I don't think it was popular enough to begin with to have a full scale second wave.

I'd welcome a second wave of gyaru fashion though.
