if you wear blue jeans wear a significantly darker shade with it
black jeans look good to but make sure not to wear a black t shirt or hat with it. a general rule of color theory is to keep colors of pieces connected (like black jeans and black boots) and not to split them up, looks bad
kakhis work too but are a bit overplayed imo.
most tops work with them too, just dont like wear all blue.
