Ok, but just sunblock. Are you using retinol, etc.? Sorry, I wasn't in the thread you're referring to. If you're using anything like that it is IMPERATIVE that you stay out the sun, or use a sunblock like I say. You can get these pretty much anywhere but the better ones tend to be more expensive. Related is what I use. Pricey but a little goes a long way. And the higher the factor, the better. You don't have to use this one but it's just to show you the kind of thing I mean. One helpful tip on sunblocks, too, is to make sure you rub it in well. Don't leave any residue on your skin. Again, the better-made ones do this very well (this one especially).

In terms of your hair, good stuff - ask your mum to get you good conditioners that you MUST use (you have curly hair like me so I know this stuff). Also ask her for treatment 'masques' that you can use every now and again. These are just basically amped conditioners that you leave in for longer. I do it once a week - just apply all over, tie up, leave for the whole day (usually weekends). Just makes your hair look crunchy and dirty but if it's tied up, this is nothing. Then rinse out, dry, etc., as usual. Leaves your hair very soft, easy to manage, and will help the curl form properly. Just say that to her 'treatment' or 'treatment masque' and she'll know what I'm talking about, and how to use it. Ask her about 'serums' as well. She'll know what I mean. None of this is faggy, by the way - you have to make the most of what you have in life, and you have a lot going for you so use it to your advantage.
