Although I am a guy, I think I can give you the most through answer.

No matter what you wear, you should look presentable.
This doesn't mean that you should always be wearing a cardigan and slacks, but what you shouldn't wear is basketball shorts and a t-shirt with nikes every day of your life.

Presentable honestly just means that its something that you like to wear that you have given a little thought to. I know a lot of guys who really like flannels and buy things like nice jeans and boots to compliment that. I know a few guys who really like hoodies, so they buy some non-typical pants (khaki joggers, maroon pants) to make the outfit pop. I would be wary of wearing something that looks fucking art/runway level, because that can be too weird.

If you aren't wearing a low-effort look every single day, or are always dressing like pic, girls will be fine with your clothes.
