the dude got these completely soaked through on a regular basis in rain and snow
absolute genius got rubber half soles for a "hiking" boot, which are glorified leather soles with toppies
then he kicked every rock on the trail for muh epic patina until the toe started delaminating, at wich point he did absolutely nothing but continue to soak the soles through
