Gumsoles tend to look better when sneakers are used or beat up than white soles.
But it's not a rule of thumb. White soles on sneaks like air force 1 or stan smiths look very good too.

It's not something to take pride of but it brings out more character and soul of your shoe.
After all you and your beaters have been for a long time and thru much stuff together.

I prefer shoes like this to fresh ones tho personally.

These are Adidas Woodsyde 84 G23053 and they're the best pair of sneakers I ever had.
Currently they are massively beaten up and I wonder if I'll ever have a chance of copping new ones. Probably not.
