I went from sneakerhead as a teen to wearing pic related workboots for the past 7+ years, even casually. Then getting back into sneakers again. I'm a boomer in his 30s too now lol

They'll never be as comfy as a good pair of old workboots. And shit like Jordan 1s are essentially $200/300+ Chuck Taylors in terms of comfort.

After years of loving sneakers you really can't go wrong with the classics, favourite sneakers:
Nike Cortez or Air Force 1 or Air max 90
Jordan 1 or 3
Converse Chuck Taylors or Jack Purcell
NB 574 or 576 or 990v5
Adidas Stan Smith or Superstars

People will say that's all basic but you can't go wrong and the type of kicks you don't need to worry about messing up or having some unfavorable types steal (besides maybe the Jordans). I say avoid going for luxury brand sneakers. What tpye of sneakers are you looking for and how do you dress?

Honestly get pull on workboots like this

These are Rossi but they aren't made in Australia anymore, I've switch over to some other brand called Redback which are a bit chunkier. Very very comfy and look better with age and doesn't break the bank.

Those heritage boots just look too much of a LARP to me and looks like you did research on the internet and purchased what some fashion forum told you. And desu look very out of place if you aren't white and even American .

All that good year welt sole stuff is all just a LARP. 99% of people who get into these boots just end up consooooming more and more that they barely even break in a single pair. Also for the price for those types of boots and resoles you can get basically a lifetime of pic related, and even then 10 year ls from now you might find you prefer sneakers again as opposed to boots so you didn't spend so much

>Be in my 30s
>Still love sneakers
>Last pair I bought were NB990v5 which I havent even worn yet from 1.5 years ago
>Cut down sneakers to 6 pairs.
>Barely even wear them anymore but keep getting tempted to buy new sneakers I like
>Hold off purchasing ones I like for a few weeks then the desire for them drops but then starts up again
>Wear pic related 97% of the time

Does being into sneakers ever die off if you've been into them since you were a child?

My old work boots I just wear casually now.

Do ppl really meme the "quality" of higher end boots? Ive tried them but nothing compares in comfort to these and they've lasted me years through very tough wear

Yes same AU size which is one size lower than your US size.

So if you're a size 10US, you get a 9AU/UK in Rossi and RM Williams.

My boot rotation: >>17236894

All you really need desu and covers every situation.

What you posted looks gay. I'd recommend Rossi but they're not longer made in Aus. Otherwise look into Redbacks if you can get them there

Blundstones are gay and way too expensive. Even here in Aus. I always prefered Rossi (pic related) but they aren't made in Aus anymore. These are my everyday casual shoes now.

Lucky I had a couple of Rossi purchased a while back but I think I will keep them just for casual wear now. Bought a pair of Redbacks for work, but don't think they would work well to wear casually

My favorite boots.

I want to get some red wing 866 cos they look similar to UGG boots in a similar colour which I wear at home (which I think look great with jeans lol). But not sure if they would look like a LARP to wear in Australia
