Pro tip for boots and hats: ALWAYS try them on before you buy them. New boots are know to squeak for some time before they are worn in good. especially if you buy them custom like I do.
The more X's the hat has the higher the felt quality, but this is not standard and some companies will pull shit like "1000X" and sell you a piece of plastic. Brown and grey hats are very popular right now with young men, but black hats are classic. And avoid buying a white or silver-belly felt hat unless you are over 40.
