we've already seen what Hermes thought up for the 2020s with H24, and Dior released Homme 2020 for better or for worse...

which one should I get for this summer?
I like them both quite a lot. maybe Voyage a bit more, but it's also more pricey

so H24: yay or nay?

I think it's mostly just underrated because it's the follow-up to Terre, which was such a hit and has such a reputation that people would be disappointed no matter what H24 smelled like
I also own a bottle of TdH by the way. I like it, but it's not really an everyday fragrance for me, especially not in the summer. it's a bit too spicy and too piercing for that, that pepper and iso E combo can be a punch in the face
H24 is more understated. maybe that's also part of why some people were disappointed with it and the abstract nature of the fragrance and notes made people not know what to expect
but then again, maybe it's just the fragrantica addicts who voiced their disappointment? I do hope H24 is doing well on the market, it's definitely more unique than competing designer releases. and considering normie youtubers like Jeremy and Tim Dessaint hype it up, maybe it is actually doing well commercially.

it's pretty nice IMO, unique yet inoffensive. maybe a little too minimalistic for me, I wonder if they'll fix that with a future flanker
unripe banana opening, goes more into a "dried-out plants in the summer heat (maybe hay?)" with that warm, metallic "hot air from an iron" note
performance is quite decent, much better than most warm weather designer frags. the scent is airy and transparent, but persists for many hours, I guess Sclarene is similar to Iso E in that way

I copped a decant myself because I could see getting bored with a full bottle, since it is a pretty simple frag despite its uniqueness. might still get one eventually, we'll see, maybe it'll be the one "le epic versatile mass-pleaser" in my collection, since I find most other frags in that category boring or outright vile

I agree it's a good release, but vaporwave is supposed to be nostalgic, not futuristic
I'd like to see what flankers Hermes releases for H24 though. the original is unique but so minimalistic and transparent that it's simply begging for some flanker with more depth IMO

kind of tempted to cop a 30ml bottle of H24 right now, should I go for it?

Got a sample of H24. I think it’s very nice. It is light and herbal and fresh. It isn’t going to fill a room unless you spray heavy but that can be a good thing. I’m trying to think of what it’s similar to from what else I’ve worn. I think maybe if Acqua Di Gio had a baby with Prada L’homme it would be similar to this. This is definitely mass appealing
