That’s literally what I did. I got a $60 shitter and hired someone to do the NH36 movement, datewheel, and handset swap for $160. It makes no goddamn financial sense. It’s quite stupid, really, but I’m glad I didn’t spend $1,000 on a vintage watch with a vintage movement with an unknown service history, questionable gaskets, and water damage that is sold as “patina”.
